From 15 to 19 June 2026, the TRIATHLON project was represented at ASME Turbo Expo 2026, held in Milan, Italy, one of the leading international events dedicated to turbomachinery and energy systems.
Bringing together researchers, engineers, and industry stakeholders from across the globe, the event offered a platform for sharing knowledge, showcasing innovation, and discussing the future of energy technologies.
Engaging with the turbomachinery community
TRIATHLON was present through the participation of project partner Ergon Research, who took part in the exhibition and engaged with participants from both academia and industry.
The presence at Turbo Expo provided an opportunity to introduce TRIATHLON’s ongoing work and connect with experts interested in advancing next-generation propulsion systems.
Connecting innovation in aviation and energy
TRIATHLON focuses on the development of hydrogen-powered and electrified propulsion systems for aviation, addressing key challenges related to efficiency, emissions reduction, and system integration.
Participating in events such as ASME Turbo Expo helps the project to stay connected to developments in related sectors, including turbomachinery, thermal management, and integrated energy systems—areas that are essential for the evolution of future aircraft powertrains.
Beyond showcasing technical work, the event provided a valuable setting for building new connections and reinforcing existing ones within the international research and innovation community.
These interactions contribute to increasing the visibility of TRIATHLON and ensuring alignment with broader technological trends and industry needs.
